The Showman Jacket Double D Ranch
This is kind of the jacket that started it all, inspired by the original Cheryl spotted when she first walked into the Buffalo Bill Cody Museum on that spur-of-the-moment road trip. I remember stopping in my tracks when I saw his show jacket; it was beaded deer suede with fringe that was beaded and fringed and was trimmed in silk. It was stunning to me in 1993, imagine how alluring it must've been in the 1800s. When designing The Showman Jacket for Cody, we chose a soft sheepskin in a silhouette similar to the original, and also staying true to much of the design aesthetic, like the intricate floral beadwork down the placket, on the shoulders, pockets, cuffs, and yoke. We also incorporated an element of fringe that adds to that Wild West feel that's both rugged and romantic.
